The facility is distributed over two sites: one located in Torino and hosted by the Department of Molecular Biotechnology and Health Sciences of the University of Torino (https://www.dmbhs.unito.it/do/home.pl), and the other one located in Colleretto Giacosa, ca. 50 km north of Torino, and hosted by the BioIndustry Park of Canavese (http://www.bioindustrypark.eu/).
Both laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art instruments for preclinical imaging and cover the most clinically-relevant imaging technologies such as PET, SPECT, CT, MRI (at different field strengths), NIRF, US and PAI.
The Center for Molecular Imaging of the University of Torino has a long experience in the design and testing of imaging probes for all the imaging technologies, including high sensitivity, targeting and theranostic agents, and offers its expertize and dedicated facilities to support both internal and external users, collaborators, guests.
Whereas the activity at the Torino lab is mainly focussed on research, the main mission of the site in Colleretto Giacosa is to provide imaging services to private companies and research centers.

Fondazione Toscana Gabriele Monasterio (FTGM) is a highly-specialized center for the management and further development of specialized healthcare and research activities of interest to the public health services, especially focused on the treatment of cardiopulmonary diseases.
FTGM carries out research activities also in collaboration with the Institute of Clinical Physiology of the National Research Council, universities, high schools, and industry. Different imaging modalities are thus accessible at the institute. In particular, in the molecular imaging lab a hyperpolarizer for dissolution dynamic nuclear polarization (HyperSense, Oxford Instruments) and a 7 T NMR spectrometer Avance III HD equipped for micro-imaging (Bruker) are installed; moreover, both 1.5 T and 3 T MRI clinical scanners are available.
The facility for housing and handling of animal models (rodents and pigs) is also available in the campus.
