Global BioImaging brings together experts worldwide to publish white papers and recommendations that support and advocate for imaging core facilities. These resources cover key topics such as career development for imaging scientists, measuring facility impact, data management, and global training initiatives.
A recent addition is a set of guidelines, the Imaging Facility Guidelines for Acknowledgement, developed by the Royal Microscopical Society and BioImaging UK, promoting proper recognition of imaging facility staff in scientific publications. Global BioImaging is proud to support this initiative and has helped gather translations in 11 languages through its international community. We also provide a practical “How to Use the Guidelines” manual, and encourage facilities worldwide to display and adopt the guidelines.
We also regularly publish short articles—engaging, 5–10 minute reads written for a broad audience—that offer an accessible look into our activities, collaborations, and the people behind them.
In addition, we provide outreach materials such as flyers and a high-resolution Global BioImaging logo, freely available for download and use to help spread awareness and represent the community.
