Explore the diverse career paths of Imaging Scientists in core facilities through our monthly seminar series. This series highlights global career trajectories, training opportunities, industry connections, and more. Speakers from the Global BioImaging partner networks and the wider imaging community share insights, challenges, and solutions, fostering discussions and knowledge exchange within the seminar.

To accommodate our global audience, each seminar is held twice:

  • Eastern Hemisphere Session: 8–9 am CEST | 3 pm JST | 4 pm AEST
  • Western Hemisphere Session: 5–6 pm CEST | 12 pm UYT/BRT/ART | 11 am EDT | 9 am CST | 8 am PDT

Seminars occur on the last Thursday/Friday of each month. You can also catch up on all previous sessions on our YouTube channel.

For our upcoming seminar, Philip Hockberger, Constadina Arvanitis and Xinkun Wang will explore diverse models of collaboration between core facilities and industry, showcasing how these partnerships can drive growth and innovation. From engaging with manufacturers and technology providers to offering services to industry users, such collaborations can expand core facilities’ reach, attract new user groups, and boost revenue. Successful partnerships require understanding industry needs, meeting specific requirements, and learning to "speak the industry language." Drawing from their experiences at the Northwestern University, the speakers will share how these interactions were built, the pathways to success, and the career impacts of working closely with industry.
