SingaScope is a Singapore-wide microscopy infrastructure network that enables all scientists to identify and access valuable microscopy resources, both instrumentation and expertise, across the Singapore research ecosystem.
SingaScope brings together a broad range of capabilities through the partnership of Singapore’s leading microscopy platforms across A*STAR, the Singapore Microscopy and Bioimage Analysis at Mechanobiology Institute (SIMBA-MBI), Centre for Bioimaging Sciences (CBIS), Advanced Imaging Laboratory at Life Sciences Institute and the NUSMed Core for Microscopy and Analysis (CMA) within NUS , as well as the NTU Optical Bio-imaging Centre (NOBIC) within NTU, and the Advanced Bioimaging (ABI) facility at SingHealth-Duke NUS. Imaging is possible across the length scales, from fine ultrastructural electron microscopy, through high spatiotemporal imaging of dynamic cellular processes, to 3D intra-vital imaging deep within living tissues and animals. Importantly this includes the critical complementary techniques of sample preparation and quantitative image analysis. A team of dedicated expert staff have the experience to consult, train, support and offer high-quality service to scientists. We have well-established practical training programs (1:1 sessions, international courses, workshops and symposia) and strong links with relevant industry partners (e.g. Olympus, Leica and GE Healthcare).
As well as standard wide-field and confocal microscopy, SingaScope focuses on the following areas of advanced imaging including but not limited to:
