Naoto Ueno, the director of Advanced Bioimaging Support (ABiS), an imaging network in Japan that provides support for utilizing imaging techniques in life sciences including light microscopy, electron microscopy, magnetic resonance imaging, bioimage analysis as well as providing training to researchers and scientists visited EMBL in Heidelberg, Germany.
Naoto Ueno has met with the Global BioImaging coordination team to discuss planned Global BioImaging activities including the annual Exchange of Experience conference and the image data course for imaging facility managers and staff that is scheduled for July 2023 to take place in Okazaki and Kobe, Japan jointly organized by Global BioImaging and ABiS. In addition, the team behind newly-built EMBL Imaging Centre has organized a tour of light and cry-electron microscopy facilities at the Imaging Centre showcasing the state-of-the-art microscopes and facilities available for user access.
