Guide to Image Data Management

Classically, bioimaging data has been considered difficult—if not impossible—to manage and share effectively. To address these challenges, our international Image Data Management Working Group is launching a series of blog-style contributions authored by members of the community.

Each post will reflect real experiences, practical approaches, and evolving strategies for tackling image data management. Rather than a static guide, this format allows ideas to be shared early, discussed openly, and refined collaboratively.

These contributions will be featured and discussed live through [GBI Spotlight webinars], creating space for feedback, exchange, and input from the global community. In this way, the content will continue to evolve—shaped by both experts and practitioners across the field.

Over time, these community-driven posts may form the basis of a more formal series of publications or a consolidated paper on image data management.
